In this part of our centre we do comprehensive management of all types of Wounds, whether it is in acute stage or has been persisting for no. of days, months or even years(Non healing or Chronic Ulcer).Recently Dr Ashok Damir  has been appointed by World Diabetic Foundation(WDF) & Diabetic Foot Society of India(DFSI) to teach Diabetes, Diabetic Foot & Wound Care under National Wound Care Project to Post Graduate Doctors of different Medical Colleges of India.
Even we take care of recurrent                     ulcers.

DIABETES

Diabetes is a chronic disease that has no cure but has many effective treatments to control it. In diabetes the pancreas of our body do not produce enough insulin or the body cannot effectively use the insulin produced. In this case the body cannot utilizes glucose in food for energy. And this results in abnormally high glucose in blood.
Diabetes has become an epidemic in India & India is known as “Diabetic Capital” of the World.

Unawareness & uneducation about Diabetes makes acute & chronic complications of this disease more problematic & multifold. There is no doubt that if one comes to know about this deadly disease in the beginning then different problems caused by this diseases can be overcome easily.

Foot care for Diabetics
If you have diabetes you are more prone to foot problems, because the disease can damage your blood vessels and nerves. This, in turn, may make you less able to sense injury or pressure on your foot. You may not notice foot injury until severe infection develops.
